The CoreBridge Drug-Free Coalition is a community-driven initiative under the CoreBridge 17 Foundation, Inc. Our mission is to unite schools, families, faith-based organizations, and community partners to prevent youth substance use, promote wellness, and empower resilient, drug-free generations through community prevention education. The Coalition was formed to strengthen prevention efforts through education, collaboration, and local action. By bringing together diverse community voices, we aim to: - Prevent substance misuse among youth and young adults. - Provide education and outreach to families, educators, and community leaders. - Promote trauma-informed care, mental wellness, and peer resistance skills, fostering youth leadership. We advocate for safe and supportive environments that reduce risk factors and strengthen protective ones.
Community prevention education is vital for creating awareness through interactive workshops, school assemblies, and parent sessions that teach essential refusal skills. Our drug-free coalition empowers youth leadership by equipping young leaders to serve as prevention ambassadors within their schools and neighborhoods. We also focus on faith and family engagement, forming partnerships with churches and family networks to reinforce healthy values and accountability. Additionally, we advocate for policy and environmental change by collaborating with local leaders to implement policies that support substance-free spaces and community wellness. Finally, we prioritize recovery and support connections by creating safe spaces for youth and families impacted by substance use to access help, mentorship, and hope.
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization, playing a crucial role in community prevention education. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved, contributing to our drug-free coalition and making a difference in the lives of those we serve, especially in fostering youth leadership.
The CoreBridge Drug-Free Coalition operates under the CoreBridge 17 Foundation, Inc. — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to youth leadership, community prevention education, mental wellness, and community recovery. Together, we serve as the bridge that links prevention, education, and hope.
